TRACES: Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers)

A FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOW

This young, astonishingly talented French-Canadian company have pioneered a whole new brand of circus. Traces was a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and now returns to The Peacock following its 2009 success..

Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands. But Traces is more than just a display of acrobatic brilliance, as snippets of the performers’ real lives are revealed through film clips, A FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOW.

This young, astonishingly talented French-Canadian company have pioneered a whole new brand of circus. Traces was a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and now it comes back to London after a UK tour.

Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands. But Traces is more than just a display of acrobatic brilliance, as snippets of the performers’ real lives are revealed through film clips, narration and music. We are gradually drawn into their story, and by the final, dramatic climax of the show, the audience is on the edge of their seats, willing them to pull off the seemingly impossible.

I think it is a really good show! but it goes by so fast!!

Faultless, funny, fabulous. What more do you want? Loved the intros about all 7 performers. Made you relate to them more.

Brilliant, innovative and entertaining show - the children said it was better than Cirque de Soleil!

Great, fun...a little repetitive and the posters were kind of misleading as there were no brightly coloured lights show as in the poster. But funny and kids were entertained. Maybe less theatre and more acrobats.

Order Ref: 714661 I went to see the show yesterday and I was not satisfied at all. Because on the poster it is misleading, it looks like the show will be colourful, electric circus and this was not the case. The second point is the actors do not speak English through out the show and I am not sure what language they were speaking. Therefore as you can imagine I did not understand one thing they said. This does not state on your website. Third point is the staff at peacock theatre were absolutely rude as it felt like they have never seen a Asian person before as majority of the people were white. I felt uncomfortable and slightly racist behaviours from the staff. Overall I had to end up leaving the show because I did not understand because of the different languages, felt uncomfortable and it was the worse theatre show I have been to. I would like my money back because of the unsatisfied experience watching traces and the misleading information of the show.
