CLOSES ON SATURDAY 24 NOVEMBER

The world premiere of Samuel Adamson’s new play based on Pedro Almodóvar’s Oscar-winning film, All About My Mother closes on Saturday 24 November. Marking the first major stage adaptation of an Almodóvar film in nearly 20 years and the first English language presentation of his work on stage, the production opened on 4 September to public and critical acclaim.

Following the tragic death of her beloved teenage son (Colin Morgan), Manuela (Lesley Manville) goes to Barcelona in search of the father he never knew. But before she can exorcise her guilt, she gets caught up in the lives of three women: Agrado (Mark Gatiss), a long-lost transexual friend, Sister Rosa (Joanne Froggatt), a young nun in search of love, and Huma Rojo (Diana Rigg), the famous actress her son so admired. Just as Manuela’s life begins to have meaning again, her son’s father returns and her journey of discovery and forgiveness comes full circle.
